Let's make room for ... "The Number Seven." : "What's the number seven anyway?" Today we will learn about the number seven. When someone says there are seven of something, they are talking about the number of objects. : "Like my SEVEN trains?" : "Or my SEVEN building bears?" That's right, Skylar and Henry. Those are GREAT examples of the number SEVEN. Can you see any other examples of the number seven in Henry and Skylars room? There are SEVEN stuffed animals on the bed! Is there another example of the number SEVEN? There are SEVEN strawberries in the bowl! What does the number SEVEN look like? (pause for think time) Skylar and Henry both have the number seven on their shirts! The number seven has one line that goes across starting at the top (...) and another that slides down diagonally. Diagonal goes from one corner to another. How do you write the number seven? To write the number seven, draw a line that goes across starting at the top, then slide down to make another line that goes diagonally and touches the bottom line. There are different ways to remember how, let's hear a rhyme to help! Slide across and down, to touch the ground! It's your turn! Try drawing a SEVEN in the air while you see it on your screen.
